CIMTT helps Vietnamese delegation to build knowledge for transfer

dsc01733_kleinAt the beginning of October, the CIMTT welcomed a delegation of scientists from Vietnam who want to learn about the experiences of the TU Dresden on the subject of knowledge and technology transfer. Dr. Grit Krause-Jüttler presented the projects and offers of the CIMTT in the field of transfer, especially the network TRANS³Net, which is currently being set up. She then led the group through the machine tool testing field of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The entire multi-week visit program for the Vietnamese delegation was organized by Dr. Ing. Matthias Geißler from the junior research group Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the TU Dresden.

The Vietnamese European Knowledge and Technology Transfer Education Consortium (VETEC) is an EU-funded ERASMUS + project to build capacity in knowledge and technology transfer at Vietnamese universities. At the same time, European partners for transfer specificities in developing countries in general and Vietnam in particular should be sensitized. The project is initially scheduled for three years. The core consortium comprises three European universities (Free University of Brussels, Aveiro University, Dresden University of Technology) and three Vietnamese partners (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Can Tho University and University of Hue). These realize an intensive exchange of personnel to build up appropriate human capital and to train multipliers. Further information at http://vetec-eu.net/.
