TRINITY offers funding opportunities for SMEs

1129df64-trinity-map-2At the beginning of 2019, the EU launched under the Horizon2020 program the project TRINITY. The aim is to establish a platform for regional networks to promote the application of existing research results in SMEs. The Fraunhofer IWU from Chemnitz is one of the core partners in the 16-partner consortium led by Prof. Minna Lanz of Tampere University (Finland). Thematic focus is the agile production technology. The partners come from the fields of robotics, internet of things (IoT) & platforms, as well as cyber security. As a key outcome of the project, a publicly accessible platform for methodologies, tools and training packages will emerge that can be prepared and applied by companies. The implementation of 16 demonstrators is planned for this.

In addition, in two open rounds of tenders (budget 8 million euro), grants will be awarded to SMEs that will continue the demonstrators. For this purpose, ideas of interested companies will be collected from now on. In addition to technological support and access to labs with advanced robotics, TRINITY also offers training and consulting services. This includes support for business model development and access to finance.
